Making your parts the correct size is just the beginning. Your products may also require particular grain size or structure‚ hardness‚ conductivity‚ mechanical properties‚ or other requirements. Along with our two coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and full range of dimensional inspection equipment‚ we can also provide testing for chemical composition‚ mechanical properties (tensile–yield–elongation)‚ grain size‚ hardness‚ and conductivity. We can also provide non–destructive test (NDT) services such as dye penetrant‚ ultrasonic‚ and radiographic testing. Weldaloy Specialty Forgings also has established an independent materials laboratory, Weldaloy Metallurgical Laboratory. ISO/IEC 17025-2017 accredited, the lab specializes in the analysis and testing of various ferrous and non-ferrous materials used in aerospace, space, nuclear, and heavy industry applications, among others. The Weldaloy Metallurgical Laboratory conducts release and validation testing, and also does primary research within industrially relevant areas to build stronger and more efficient forging processes, contribute to science and technology, and advance metallurgical understanding overall.
