Weldaloy Specialty Forgings Receives S1000 Certification & S291 Forging Approval

A Milestone in Our Aerospace Manufacturing Excellence
GE Jet Engine Weldaloy

Quality and precision have been core values at Weldaloy Specialty Forgings since our founding in 1946. This commitment has driven us to secure a series of top-tier industry certifications, most recently S1000 Certification and S291 Forging Approval—earned in less than a year after beginning the rigorous approval process.

Both achievements are highly regarded in the aerospace sector. The S1000 Certification is highly regarded in the aerospace sector, demonstrating that Weldaloy meets demanding standards for quality and safety required in aerospace-grade materials and components. The S291 Forging Approval confirms our quality and reliability in forging parts for aviation applications. Together, these certifications are meaningful to our clients in the space, aviation, and defense sectors, who depend on consistent, reliable manufacturing practices to ensure the safety and performance of their equipment. It is validation that Weldaloy delivers top-tier forged components that meet critical safety and performance standards.

Our 134,000 sq. ft. facility in Warren, Michigan, houses in-house engineering and metallurgical teams as well as an independent ISO/IEC 17025-2017 accredited metallurgical lab, underscoring our commitment to excellence. Our customers benefit from a seamless production process that includes forging, in-house heat treating, and rough machining, all under one roof.

These achievements, alongside our AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, and ITAR certifications, reinforce Weldaloy’s commitment to delivering the highest quality forgings for aerospace innovation. We look forward to continuing our work with the innovative companies that keep North America at the forefront of aerospace technology. Let us quote your next project.
